Maxi Dresses!! I must have more for summer!

My favourite summer dress style right now: The Maxi Dress!

The perfect dress for going from day to night in during the summer.  

Or as my friends and I call them - Gowns! And I am really loving this first gown!! I'm not sure if I can hold back from ordering it.... 

I really want a nice printed gown but I cannot seem to find one that I like, yet... 

The great thing about this style of dress is that you can get them from almost any retailer, from Old Navy to Banana Republic, Piper Lime and everything in between like R&W and Jacob! 

Depending on the material, style and cut you can wear these dresses as beach / poolside cover ups or for a night out with your favourite person 

I really want this dress, I have an identical one in blue but I really like the berry shade!!! I'm watching for promotions because I got the blue one last year at half price! 

One Caution - make sure that the fit flatters your body, because the length can make you look really frumpy if it is too baggy!! 

I have also seen some denim atrocities - whatever you do, do NOT buy a denim Maxi dress!! No one should EVER have that much denim on their body!!!

Get yourself a maxi dress and get out and enjoy summer!   

Lovely Linen and Colour Blocking for Spring!

Naturally this week I went online shopping! My intention was only to browse, to break up the monotony of the week and then I found this dress and I had to have it!

I love the colours for spring and I absolutely love linen no matter how annoying caring for it is! 

I am naturally pale so this colour combination is great to liven me up, and no I will not use a tanning bed! 

This week has been pretty stressful but receiving this parcel in the mail yesterday was definitely a high point! 

This is definitely my most favourite piece of colour blocking that I own. I can't decide if I like the jade / teal combination or the linen feel more.

The Forever 21 Saga Continues

One of my friends got on the dress bandwagon with me and I was MORE than happy to help her pick out some dresses that I thought would make her look like even more of a knockout! 

Even though she didn't like all of them, we got 2 for her that she likes! 

The other one we ordered for her was this one - super cute! 

I love the contrast & look at the detail in the sash on the back! 

At the same time I ordered a few accent necklaces just because they were super sale:

It was under $12 for all 4 necklaces with tax because they were on clearance, and it allows me to switch up my accessories just that much more! 

Forever 21 Online: Shirts and a new dress!

Over the weekend I was browsing a couple of my favourite websites for pieces to add to my spring & summer wardrobe.... naturally I found several items that I really liked! The best part is that all of these items totalled under $90 with tax and I got free shipping for spending over $60!

 Yes sweaters for spring, even with our recent heat wave!

I was looking for a hot pink tank top to pair with my gold glitter heels and I tried one on at artizia which was $98 and I would have had to buy a bandeau in order to wear it. I didn't like it nearly as much as I do this hot pink tank, and I love the price even more - it was under $10!

I have never really been a fan of green but I recently bought a green top and liked it so maybe I will like this dress as well!

Yes I am buying light sweaters for spring, because I will free at work! 

Another long and lean light weight sweater for summer in the office!  

This is the same as the hot pink tank and for the price, it's well worth it!

Not too bad!6 tops and 1 dress for under $90 taxes in! Ladies you should really browse the sale section of that website! Even the regular priced items are so reasonable that you can get a few new things for spring and summer without spending over $100 - who can argue with that?

Forever 21 Order!

So I caved and ordered a couple of dresses from Forever 21.... did I mention I also bought 2 last night?? Am I slightly dress obsessed? Just a bit! But if you ask me for my opinion, and you're obviously going to get it by reading this, dresses are the most flattering, pretty and economical outfit choice! 

Just one piece of clothing can make your entire outfit for the day or night, pair with some cute shoes and accessories and your good to go! 

This dress I can wear into the office with tights and a sweater and it looks very comfortable! 

I ordered this top in green which was also available in green and red but both colours have sold out throughout the course of the day! 

Look I'm even moving away from a wardrobe that is 95% black clothing! I have a lot of pink in my wardrobe as well, but as long as the dresses are different cuts it doesn't matter! 

Now I am second guessing whether or not I should have chosen this in blue or red..... I will find out when it gets here! 

Forget the pants! No matter what your body shape there are perfect dresses out there to flatter you and make you feel oh so pretty <3 

Spring and Summer Dresses!

Even though we got more snow where I live this weekend, that doesn't mean that I cannot browse around for spring and summer dresses! I love the spring and summer time, especially because you don't need tights or pantyhose to wear dresses. Women out there, you know what I'm talking about! Pantyhose are absolutely awful to wear! 

I found several dresses that I thought I would share to get you into the spring time mood! 

Asymmetrical dress from Forever 21 

I have a hot pink dress like this one that I got from Urban Outfitters and it is such a fun dress to wear! Forever 21 only has this red colour but urban has or had several other colours that were all really fun! It's a great dress to wear out to a club with your girlfriends <3

This dress is super cute and inexpensive! It also comes in a really nice shade of blue!

It's probably a bit too young for me but I know a few young girls that may look great in this dress ;) 

I'm curious about the length though, because 21 dresses are typically very very short and they do not carry all of the dresses online in stores. So sometimes you can order something and it is just way too short! The great thing however is that whatever you buy online you can return in store!

 21 - sweetheart dress 

This is another dress I am considering purchasing, I think it would be really cute for going out in..... decisions decisions! 

Here's hoping there isn't much winter left!
